Tuesday Night Bike Ride

Tuesday Night Bike Ride

At TriWanaka we love to ride bikes and we would love you to come biking with us. We have a regular ride on Tuesdays meeting at the Log Cabin at the waterfront at 5:45pm so please come and join us for a ride. We often have committee members on these rides but we can not guarantee there will always be a committee member riding.

The Tuesday ride runs over the same course each week. To participate in this group you need to be capable of riding approximately 20km. The bunches head towards Treble Cone with a stop at Glendhu Bay for those that wish to turn around at this stage they will make the turn and head back to town (making the ride about 20km). For those that wish to continue we will then re-group (if needed) at the base of the Treble Cone access way. Then we will turn and head back into town to finish at Speights Ale House for a well deserved drink. There are 2 compulsory stops to allow riders to re-group (Glendhu Bay and Treble Cone access road). All welcome!

These rides are a great opportunity for you to improve your cycling and enjoy the company of other like minded riders. At times there might be different groups but sometimes these groups will join together especially when the weather is not very good and we have fewer riders.

By joining us for a ride please note that:

* You ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety and you agree to take responsibility for your own actions.

* You understand that road cycling involves risk and you acknowledge that you ride at your own risk.

* You agree to follow and abide all road rules and you will not hold ride leaders or any other person involved in the ride responsible for any loss or injury to person or equipment.

*If you are riding a TT please be considerate of your fellow road bikers and ensure that you don’t go down on your aero bars if riding in a bunch. If you wish to use your aero bars please drop to the back of the bunch and ensure a safe distance between yourself and the rider infront.
